I was struggling to copy a large file (16 GB) over a network using Windows Standard File-Copy process, It use to take me more than a day to copy 16 GB, more ever there was no gurantee, sometimes there were network errors and the copy process use to terminate.
My colleague [Rajesh Gala] suggested a robocopy utility which helps to copy file faster and with resume options.

Large file copying with standard tools - that’s really painful. Yes, robocopy will help but for more advanced options and even more higher speed I can sugget you try secure copy. We used it a while ago for 500 gb server data migration to new hardware. I was amazed by the copying speed. All shares and permissions were migrated sucessfully as well. Highly recommended!
